I have a few Christmas presents here for the party. I don't really know many people but it will be fun, right? Millicent, I hope you are planning to attend at the new house.
I have the guest cottage fixed up finally but it is very quiet other than when Draco is over. Pansy has promised some great gifts. I do think she is getting tired of our hexing matches outside but boredom has taken control.
I should be studying for the bar exam. I picked up a few books.
I can't help it. Sometimes I miss her. I should enjoy the quiet but I don't.

I am in Eureka Springs. Where the hell is Arkansas? Daphne is not here. Those are key points that I keep going over and over. I have a telly, I watch the news and now it is summer. Apparently I have also lost time. That, coupled with the fact that Daphne is not here, leads me to believe that I did what I had planned. There is a certain weight that had lifted off of my chest. Still, I hate not knowing where I am.
Who is out there? Did anyone get unceremoniously dumped here too? Why?
I don't know the answers which pisses me off. I haven't even went out. I think I will today. I would ask who wants to go but that brings me back to my first question.
At least I still have my laptop.

Work has been slow lately. There is still no word from the clown so the cases against him are all mine, not that I think we will see any of it. It's a lot or work for nothing but there is always that chance.

Who else is going to that Halloween party at the community center? Is this supposed to be a costume thing? I suppose the clown will come as himself. He is getting a little old. I am very likely to hex him the next time he appears. Magical laws be damned.

Houses, titles, businesses. I have a whole stack of files for the city haul for all the new people opening businesses. Their lease agreements are all signed, builders permits are complete, but where does it go. There is a city hall, and I bring the paperwork in and hand it to a receptionist who says, "Thank you." Then I am on my way and haven't met an official yet. The woman acted as if she hadn't even heard of the clown bombing.
I am so sick of this place. At least we are moving. There are other ideas I have been toying with, but I will keep those to myself for now.
Ro, we really should go for drinks.

The choice here is to move in with Daphne into our own place or live with the other witches and wizards. They are all Slytherins. Daphne seems to think we should move into our own place but Pansy has enough space for all of us. The obvious benefit to that is that we can work together to get out of here and with the recent activity of these idiotic muggles, that might be wise anyway. There wouldn't be quite as much privacy but it is preferable to where we are living and we are among friends who understand our world.

Has anyone seen Matt Murdock? He hasn't been in the office at all. I thought I was missing him since I haven't spent as much time there as I should. His computer is gone. Maddie - has he checked in at all?
Speaking of computers, I want one. I know that is quite a muggle artifact but they can do so many things. Matt was teaching me a little bit about them although he wasn't successful in reaching anyone he knew on the outside. There were a lot of client files he stored on it but I am not entirely sure how to get them back.
My question is, how can a computer get a virus when it isn't living? He started laughing and had to leave before he answered me.
I hate this weather. It's no wonder I am depressed.

I cannot believe that they are gone. They just vanished as they arrived. Was it magic or an end to their time here and was it random? There are too many questions for me to contemplate right now and I find it quite depressing. I know I have said it over and over but this really begs the question, should we actually adjust to this life or are we going home soon. The latter would be perfect.

What is this that I hear about people now disappearing? Did they find a way out?
I wish there was something here that I was actually interested in. I swear there are vampires and werewolves all over this town. I know I have seen some, not that I care. There was so much going on at home and I still cannot get back.
The business is going well but I'm not sure what the point is anymore.

Where the hell is everyone? I haven't seen most of our friends lately. There seems to be a lot of odd creatures now. It is all a bit unreal still. I am tired of this place. It gets stranger by the day and I keep thinking of what we are missing in England. I had a life there. I know it is futile to ask how to leave here.

Who is the woman that Matt hired as his receptionist? She isn't too bad on the phone I suppose. It takes some of the workload off Daphne. She still handles most of my business dealings.
For those of you who are new to town, the office can help set up businesses unless you really like working for others. There are several empty buildings left and we are making arrangements to have them filled. Our services are very reasonable. How is that for shameless self-promotion?

I don't know why I bother sometimes, but lately I just can't get over this telly thing. I can see why muggles sit for hours watching the wide array of comedy on the channels. Lately I have been watching ESPN. While running is a good activity, the simplistic nature of muggle sports is baffling.
Men hitting balls with sticks and running in a square is not complicated. They threw one ball and hit the guy with a stick. I think it was some act of revenge, personally. It's scary what comes from the muggle mind.
Then there were men running up and down a floor trying to throw a ball in a hoop. More running. Have they heard of brooms? They had to be tall to play. That seems a bit discriminating.
Then there is wrestling where they dress up in costumes, act like baboons, and hit each other with chairs. Give me a duel any day. It really isn't a wonder that a few braincells have vacated their heads. It is probably the only thing they can do with their lives.
